Besides that, the minimum age limit is 20 years, and the maximum age limit is 27 years, with a 5-year concession for SC/STs and a 3-year relaxation for OBCs. You can explore the top courses to pursue after 12th and pick the course that suits you, along with developing your skills and knowledge in the coming years.

You will not only need to focus on your intellectual skills to get a spot in the arena, but you will also need to meet the physical standards. Your physical and mental stamina, as well as your capacity to cope with a variety of physically demanding conditions, will all be put to the test here.
After successful completion of the first two phases, you will be interviewed by a panel of CBI who will test your talents once more to see if you are the perfect candidate.
What if you don’t want to go above and beyond this long process? Is there any other way to do it? Yes, you can get promoted to CBI Group A officer without having to wait in a big line. However, that will be a tough nut to crack, which will require you to vigorously explore your career aspirations. The UPSC Civil Services Examinations are the second way to become a CBI agent. You must pass this with a high adequate score to be considered for the Indian Police Service (IPS).
There are three levels to the Civil Services examination. The prelims, mains, and personal interviews, to be specific.
The UPSC Prelims consisted of two objective-type tests with a total of 400 marks (General Studies I and General Studies II or CSAT). In most cases, both papers are given in two sessions on the same day through offline mode (pen-paper). The General Studies I exam has 100 questions, whereas the CSAT exam has 80 questions, and both exams last two hours. Following that, there will be a mains exam and a personal interview. You will have 8 papers to complete here, and you will be able to select the service you want to be prioritized for.
