Shubh Mukherjee is a known filmmaker and director who has had an inspiring journey in showbiz. Recently, Shubh has added another feather to his hat, when he got a chance to direct the person whose work he has admired a lot, SS Rajamouli Sir.“SS Rajamouli is a perfectionist,” says filmmaker Shubh Mukherjee; speaks about his “seamless” experience of shooting ad with Baahubali directorSpeaking about the collaboration, Shubh says, “Directing a celebrity like Rajamouli sir was one of the most amazing experiences I’ve had. Having worked with several other people in the industry, working with him stood out because of how humble he is, despite being such an accomplished filmmaker. He could have been highly critical, especially with his deep technical knowledge, but he never was. He was incredibly free, fully immersed himself in the character, and never questioned or doubted the process. His only concern was whether we were utilizing our time effectively, but beyond that, he didn’t interfere in other areas, like sound or camera work—even though he’s a master in those fields.”Shubh raves about how Rajamouli is as effortless in front of the camera as he is behind it. “Directing him for this ad was seamless, despite having only a few hours to shoot many scenes. When he stepped into the role of ‘Rajamouli the actor’, he gave it his all, showing that even as an actor, he’s a perfectionist. Honestly, he was the easiest celebrity I’ve worked with—one of the most generous, kind-hearted, and down-to-earth people on set. Sometimes, it’s hard to believe you’re standing next to such a legendary filmmaker. Being in his presence was phenomenal, and there is so much to learn from him.
