Top 5 Electric Cars To Debut At 2025 Delhi Auto Expo

The electric SUV segment is set for an exciting year in 2025 with several highly anticipated models expected to debut at the Delhi Auto Expo in January. Here are five potential new electric SUVs from top brands like Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Mahindra, Tata, and Toyota:
1. Hyundai Creta EV:

The electric version of the Hyundai Creta, expected to be priced below Rs. 20 lakh, is currently undergoing testing, with several spy images already circulating. While it will share its platform with the IC-engined Creta, the EV will showcase a more modern and futuristic design.
Despite the exterior changes, most of the features are likely to be carried over from the ICE variant. The Creta EV is expected to feature a front-wheel-drive electric motor, similar to the Kona Electric, and offer a claimed range of 450-500 km.

2&3. Maruti Suzuki eVX & Toyota EV:

The expanding partnership between Maruti Suzuki and Toyota is all set to introduce their first electric vehicles to the Indian market in 2025. Maruti Suzuki’s eVX is expected to launch in early 2025, followed by Toyota’s version in the latter half of the year and both could be showcased at the upcoming Auto Expo. Both EVs will come equipped with a 60 kWh battery pack, delivering a claimed driving range of over 550 km.
4. Tata Harrier EV:

The electric version of the Tata Harrier is scheduled for launch in the first quarter of 2025 and will share several components with the recently launched Curvv EV. The Harrier EV is expected to offer a driving range of over 500 km on a single charge. It will also be Tata’s first electric vehicle to feature a dual-motor setup, providing an e-4WD system, which will enhance its off-road capabilities.

5. Mahindra BE.05:

The production-spec Mahindra BE.05 was recently leaked during an ad shoot, hinting at a potential launch in the first half of next year and it may as well debut at the 2025 Auto Expo. This model will be built on a dedicated EV platform and is expected to offer a range of over 500 km. The BE.05 will be powered by an electric motor sourced from Valeo, driving only the rear wheels at least initially.
