Mahindra SUVs Latest Waiting Period In India – Over 12 Months?

The waiting periods for Mahindra Scorpio N and XUV700 are very short during this festive season but the same cannot be said for some other models
Mahindra & Mahindra deserves recognition for its efforts to reduce the waiting periods of several popular models in the domestic market recently. The Bolero MUV now has an almost negligible wait time nationwide while other popular models like the Scorpio N and XUV700 also no longer require lengthy waiting periods.
The Mahindra Scorpio Classic and Scorpio N have been well received by customers since their market debut and they combine to record impressive sales numbers every month on a consistent basis. The Scorpio Classic is essentially the old-generation Scorpio with cosmetic updates while the Scorpio N is a brand new offer based on a new ladder frame chassis.
The S and S11 variants of the Scorpio Classic have a waiting period of up to a month and a half. Customers wanting to own the Scorpio N will have to wait up to two and a half months. The Z2, Z8 and Z8L trims command a waiting period of just one month. Only the Z8S commands a waiting period between two and two and a half months for the petrol MT, petrol AT, diesel MT and diesel AT versions.

Almost No Waiting Period
The Mahindra XUV700 commands a waiting period of up to 2 months for the AX7 and AX7L trims while the base MX and AX3, AX5 and AX5 Select grades come with a waiting of one month each. The AX5L trim of the Mahindra XUV 3XO can be purchased with a waiting period of up to 3 months while the top-spec AX7 and AX7L grades have it even less at 2 months.
However, the regular AX5 variant comes with a waiting period of up to 8 months for the petrol trim, and up to 7 and 8 months for the MX2 and MX3 models. The entry-level MX1 variant of the compact SUV asks for a waiting of up to a year. The recently launched Thar Roxx has been tremendously received amongst buyers and it could command a waiting period of one year for select variants according to dealer sources.

The customer deliveries of the five-door Thar Roxx have commenced across the country and it received over 1.76 lakh bookings in under sixty minutes of opening.
