New Maruti Dzire Launch Date 11th November, 2024

India’s popular compact sedan – Maruti Suzuki Dzire – is all set to enter its fourth generation next month. The new model will go on sale on 11th November 2024, with its official price announcement. Comprehensive cosmetic changes and feature upgrades are expected. The new 2024 Maruti Dzire will also come with the new Z-Series petrol engine, borrowed from the Swift hatchback. The 1.2L, 3-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine will be lighter and more fuel-efficient than its predecessor – the 1.2L, 4-cylinder K-Series unit.

The new Z12 engine delivers a claimed power of 82bhp and 112Nm of torque. Compared to the outgoing petrol engine, the new one is 8bhp less powerful. Maruti Suzuki claims that this motor produces up to 12 percent less CO2 emissions. Both 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT gearboxes will be carried forward from the current generation. When it comes to mileage, the new Z-Series petrol engine is nearly 3kmpl more fuel-efficient, delivering a claimed mileage of 24.8kmpl – 25.75kmpl on the Swift. The same figures are expected for the new Maruti Dzire.

Compared to the Swift, the 2024 Maruti Dzire will carry a completely different design featuring a new blacked-out, horizontally placed grille with chrome elements, new headlamps with black bezels, and a revised front bumper. The new diamond-cut alloy wheels, wraparound LED taillamps, and more angular creases will further differentiate it from its hatchback sibling. Read: 5 Upcoming Maruti Suzuki Cars Below Rs 10 Lakh

The new Dzire will be the first vehicle in its category to come with a sunroof. Inside, it will feature a dashboard and upholstery in lighter shades, along with features such as a 9-inch free-standing touchscreen infotainment system, an analogue instrument cluster with a 4.2-inch digital MID, automatic climate control, and more.

In the compact sedan segment, the new Maruti Dzire will continue to compete with the Hyundai Aura, Tata Tigor, and Honda Amaze. The Honda Amaze is also set for a generation change, which will take place early next year. The new Dzire is expected to be priced slightly higher than its predecessor.
