Ajay Devgn Shower Incident that Led to His Iconic Role in ‘Zakhm’

Iconic film of Ajay Devgn ‘Zakhm’ has an interesting backstory on how he came to sign it. In a recent revelation, He shared that he didn’t give much thought to the film initially. He was actually taking a shower when he agreed to work on it.
Ajay Devgn recounted that while he was in Hyderabad shooting for another project, mobile phones were not prevalent. He was in the shower when the landline rang in his room. When he answered the call, the voice on the other end informed him that Mahesh Bhatt wanted to speak with him. Ajay Devgn told Mahesh Bhatt that he was in the middle of a shower, but Mahesh Bhatt insisted on talking to him. Mahesh Bhatt told Ajay Devgn that he was directing what would be his last film and wanted him to be a part of it. Ajay Devgn, still in the shower, agreed to do the film without hearing the full story. This is how ‘Zakhm’ came into being. True to his word, Mahesh Bhatt never directed another film after that.
‘Zakhm’ is considered one of Ajay Devgn’s best works, earning him the National Film Award for Best Actor. The film was Mahesh Bhatt’s final directorial venture and is celebrated for its powerful performances and impactful storytelling. Ajay Devgn recently appeared in sports drama ‘Maidaan’ and the thriller ‘Shaitan.’ This year, he will be seen in ‘Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha’ alongside Tabu, which is set for release on August 2nd.
