Amendment in Export Policy of Dc-Oiled Rice Bran

The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) has issued Notification No. 23/2024-25 on August 16, 2024, amending the export policy for de-oiled rice bran. According to this notification, and in accordance with the powers granted under the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992, and the Foreign Trade Policy 2023, the export of de-oiled rice bran is prohibited until January 31, 2025. This amendment revises the previous notification No. 76/2023 dated March 15, 2024. The notification reflects the Central Government’s decision to impose this restriction, aiming to regulate the export of this commodity for the specified period. The DGFT, led by Director General Santosh Kumar Sarangi, issued this update from Vanijya Bhawan, New Delhi.

S.O. (E). — In exercise of powers conferred by Section 3 read with section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992, read with Para 1.02 and 2.01 of the Foreign Trade Policy 2023, as amended from time to time, the Central Government hereby, in amendment of the earlier Notification No. 76/2023 dt. 15th March 2024, makes the following changes in Export Policy conditions under Chapter 23 of Schedule-II (Export Policy):

Effect of the Notification: Export of De-Oiled Rice Bran is ‘Prohibited’ up to 31st January 2025.
