BMW CE 02 Launched in India at INR 4.49 lakh
BMW Motorrad India has launched its all-new electric scooter, the BMW CE 02, designed specifically for urban commuting. Priced at INR 4,49,900 (ex-showroom), the CE 02 aims to provide a new solution for city mobility, blending performance with modern features. The electric scooter is available at BMW Motorrad dealerships across India starting today.
Key Highlights of the BMW CE 02
The BMW CE 02 is powered by an 11 kW motor, delivering 15 PS of power and 55 Nm of torque and capable of reaching 50 km/h in just 3 seconds. Its top speed of 95 km/h ensures that it’s not only city-friendly but also highway-capable. With a 3.92 kWh lithium-ion battery, the scooter offers a range of 108 kilometers, making it suitable for urban adventures and daily commutes.
Features and Design
Designed for the urban environment, the CE 02 stands out with its compact and playful design. Weighing just 142 kg and featuring a low seat height of 745 mm, the scooter is built for easy handling in congested city streets. The model comes with LED lights, a 3.5-inch TFT display, and connectivity options such as a USB-C port.
Riders can choose between two riding modes: “Flow” for a relaxed cruise and “Surf” for a more dynamic ride. Additionally, the optional HIGHLINE package introduces an extra “Flash” mode for those seeking a sportier experience.
Quick Charging and Technology
Charging the BMW CE 02 is convenient with the standard 0.9 kW external charger, allowing users to charge at home. For faster charging, the optional 1.5 kW quick charger reduces charging time to 102 minutes from 20% to 80% state of charge. The electric reverse gear and keyless start further enhance the scooter’s practicality.
Customization and Accessories
The CE 02 comes with a minimalist design that invites personalization. The HIGHLINE package adds more color and style with anodized gold forks and dynamic tape designs. Other optional accessories include heated grips, a smartphone holder, and enhanced connectivity through the BMW Motorrad app.
The BMW CE 02 will be manufactured in the TVS factory in Hosur. Production is already underway and deliveries will begin soon.
