Joshi wondered if his family crisis was a joke to him. He marched out in disgust. 

Her favourite toy, a constant companion and her window of connection with the outside world was her mini iPad placed neatly in a designer handbag slung on her slender shoulder. It stored vital information for her to get through the daily travails of her life. Arranged in its desktop display were important files, ‘my mother, my father, my house, my teacher etc. The left out from the list, came under the category – ’Strangers’. Extraordinarily, Niniya was also blessed with an eidetic memory which enabled her to remember intricate numbers, characters that even superhuman would find hard to fathom. 

He studied her for a full minute. She lay trapped beneath him, waiting for the unexpected. Third time wasn’t lucky for her. He pulled the plastic cover over her head, once again for one final time and savagely cut her oxygen supply until she lost consciousness, all the while whistling under his breath.
