BYD eMax 7 bookings will begin on 21st September 2024 (i.e. tomorrow) with a token amount of Rs 51,000. The company is offering special schemes and benefits for the first 1,000 pre-orders made by 8th October and deliveries are taken on or before 25th March 2025. The offers include benefits worth Rs 51,000 and a complimentary 7kW or 3kW charger upon delivery. Interested buyers can place orders at any authorized BYD outlet or via BYD India’s official website.

The carmaker states that the eMax 7 has been “designed for progressive and environment-conscious Indian families” and offers “enhanced performance and features” compared to its predecessor, the e6 electric MPV.

The design and styling of the eMax 7 appear to be improved, with slightly updated headlamps, taillamps, and tweaked front and rear bumpers. Compared to its predecessor, it features more chrome detailing on both the front and rear ends. Inside, the BYD eMax 7 comes with a larger 12.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, replacing the previous 10.1-inch unit. It also features a new steering wheel, updated switchgear, a new drive selector lever, and two wireless charging pads. Read: BYD To Launch Creta EV, Curvv EV Rival SUV

The electric MPV continues to offer a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, automatic climate control, a 360-degree camera, and an electric tailgate. The dashboard design, instrument cluster, and other equipment remain largely unchanged.

In India, the eMax 7 is expected to be offered with a 71.8kWh battery pack and a single electric motor. The setup delivers a combined power output of 201bhp and 310Nm of torque. It promises a range of 530km on a full charge. Globally, the electric MPV is also offered with a 55.4kWh battery, producing 161bhp and 310Nm, with a range of 420km.

The new BYD eMax 7 will not have any direct rivals in its segment. Its pricing is expected to be similar to its predecessor, which was available at Rs 29.15 lakh (ex-showroom).
