BYD India Announces Upcoming Launch of BYD eMAX 7
BYD India has revealed the name of its upcoming electric MPV: BYD eMAX 7. Designed for modern and eco-conscious Indian families, the BYD eMAX 7 is set to replace the BYD e6.
A Successor to BYD e6 with Enhanced Features
The BYD eMAX 7 builds on the success of the e6, India’s first electric MPV, and offers significant upgrades in terms of performance, range, and features. The vehicle’s name reflects its core attributes—‘e’ for electric drive, ‘MAX’ for enhanced capabilities, and ‘7’ to signify its position as a successor to the previous model.
BYD India Focus on Sustainable Luxury and Performance
In announcing the new model, Rajeev Chauhan, Head of Electric Passenger Vehicles at BYD India, emphasized the brand’s dedication to blending sustainability with luxury. “The BYD eMAX 7 is a forward-thinking vehicle, ideal for consumers who prioritize both sustainable luxury and practicality,” Chauhan noted. He also highlighted that the vehicle has been developed after a thorough study of the market and customer feedback from the existing BYD e6.

BYD has established itself as a dominant player in the global EV market, selling over 2.3 million new energy passenger vehicles worldwide in 2024 alone. The company is known for its robust R&D capabilities, which have kept it at the forefront of the electric vehicle revolution. BYD’s extensive lineup includes passenger cars, buses, trucks, and more.
The BYD eMax 7 will make its debut in the coming months, hopefully before Diwali.
