Citroen Basalt Price List and Variants Explained

A new body style is in the town now. SUV coupes have not been known to people long ago. This is something that demands extra price just for the the looks it offers. The Citroen Basalt, which eventually is the most affordable Coupe SUV in India, has got a very tough market to capture. To do so, Citroen needed to hit it out of the park and they eventually did it with their aggressive pricing. The car was launched at a price tag under Ten lakhs. This is a ringing bell for the upcoming Tata Curvv.

Citroen Basalt was launched at the starting price of ₹7.99 lakhs(ex-showroom). The very next variant in the lineup is exactly 2 lakhs more expensive than the base variant. This makes the lineup a bit less versatile as compared to some competitors. Tata Nexon had more than 70 variants (both diesel and petrol included) and we expect the same from Tata Curvv lineup as well. However, we do expect the Tata Curvv to be priced significantly higher than that of Basalt. This price difference can be a positive factor for Citroen.

The Basalt is longer than the C3 Aircross however, it is smaller in all other aspects. The Basal will not be available as a 7-seater option unlike the C3 Aircross, which means it will have a good amount of boot space and back seat room.
