Citroen C3, C3 Aircross Get LED Projector Headlamps, Automatic Climate Control, Six Airbags and More
Citroen has introduced a range of updates for the C3 hatchback and the C3 Aircross SUV. The hatchback now gets LED projector headlamps, auto folding outside rearview mirrors, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a 7.0-inch digital instrument cluster, and automatic climate control, all of which were earlier missing since the car’s launch in mid-2022. Also, the presence of six airbags (as standard) will further up the Citroen C3’s safety quotient. Note that these additional features are reserved for the top-spec Shine variant of the C3. Other features, including steering-mounted controls, power windows, hill-start assist, and a 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system with AppleCarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, will still be available. Under the hood, the C3 gets two engine options – a 1.2-litre three-cylinder naturally aspirated engine (81bhp) and a 1.2-litre three-cylinder turbocharged unit (108bhp). The former is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox, while the latter comes with a 6-speed manual gearbox. Like the hatchback, the C3 Aircross has also been updated with LED projector headlights, automatic climate control, and six airbags as standard. Other than that, the SUV now can be had with rear AC vents, a flip-style key, and a bigger, sliding front armrest. Another highlight is the repositioned rear power window switches, which have been moved from the centre console to the rear door pads. The SUV continues to offer a 1.2-litre three-cylinder turbocharged engine, which develops 108bhp and 205Nm of peak torque and is paired with either a six-speed manual or a six-speed torque converter automatic unit. It is currently priced from Rs 9.99 lakh to Rs 14.11 lakh (ex-showroom), while the C3 stands between Rs 6.16 lakh and Rs 9 lakh (ex-showroom). The pricing of both models is exclusive of the updates.
