Ducati Multistrada V4 RS Teased Ahead of Upcoming India Launch
Ducati India has teased the arrival of its most powerful motorcycle in the Multistrada lineup, the V4 RS, indicating a launch in the coming weeks. This comes more than two months after Ducati listed the model on its India website. The Ducati Multistrada V4 RS uses a 1,103cc, Desmosedici Stradale V4 engine, which also powers the Panigale V4 and the Streetfighter V4. The liquid-cooled engine is rated for 177bhp at 12,250rpm and 118Nm of peak torque at 9,500rpm, making the Multistrada V4 RS the most powerful adventure bike in its class. Featuring a six-speed gearbox and Ducati’s STM Evo-SBK dry clutch, the Multistrada V4 RS also offers a bi-directional quick-shifter. The Ducati Multistrada V4 RS has a dry weight of 211kg, which is 3kg less than the Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak. Also Read: Ducati Multistrada V4 RS Listed on Official Website, India Launch Soon? The main frame is the familiar aluminium monocoque unit. Ducati says this architecture makes the V4 RS the lightest fourth-generation Multistrada ever. That’s not the only weight-shedding measure Ducati has taken. Ducati has equipped the Multistrada V4 RS with a set of 17-inch Marchesini forged aluminium wheels, while the bulky pillion grab handle and top box mounting bracket have been done away with. Ducati Multistrada V4 RS: Suspension, Brakes For suspension, the Multistrada V4 RS gets 48mm fully adjustable front forks with titanium nitride (TIN) and a TTX36 fully adjustable rear monoshock, both sourced from Ohlins. The Ohlins Smart EC 2.0 offers comprehensive suspension electrical adjustment. On the other hand, the braking setup comprises dual 330mm discs at the front with Brembo Stylema monobloc four-piston callipers and a single 265mm disc at the rear with a Brembo two-piston calliper. The rear also features a single-sided aluminium swingarm.
