From Singham Again to Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3: 9 Upcoming Bollywood Movies in 2024

Bollywood movies in 2024 will be a mix box of different genres. We see Bhool Bhulaiyaa and Stree 2 returning with that typical but humorous combination of horror-comedy that makes for a good family entertainer. We also see Singham Again returning with quite a long list of celebrated actors. Meanwhile, Rajkummar Rao has made 2024 into his year with Srikanth already receiving praises. However, he still has a lot for the audience with Mr and Mrs Mahi and Stree 2.
Sounds Like a Fun Year? Here are the 9 Upcoming Bollywood Movies in 2024–
1. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3

After Bhool Bhulaiyaa performed extremely well at the box office, meeting the expectations of the first part of the legendary horror comedy, makers are now ready to come again with another part filled with screams and laughter. While we do not know the exact date, the anticipated release is around Diwali this year. It is worth seeing whether the third part will carry forward the fame or sink its boat as many sequels have done previously. Anees Bazmee will continue the direction with this part along with Kartik Aaryan in the lead role, although the female and other cast will change for this part. Are you excited for it? We sure are!
2. Singham Again

After Singham Returns, we get Singham Again. While the title could have been improved with a little bit more creativity, the ensemble cast is out of the world exciting. This time, we will get to see Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Ajay Devgan, Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Arjun Kapoor, Tiger Shroff, and Jackie Shroff– all of them sharing the screen. The amount of talent concentrated in the movie is crazy and we are looking forward to the thrill of Rohit Shetty’s action thriller with these celebrated actors. The film will be released on Independence Day, i.e., 15th August.
3. Stree 2

After Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao warmed (or not?) our hearts with their performance in the horror comedy, they reprise their roles once again for Stree 2. Set to release on 30th August, the trailer brings something different this time. The short trailer shows that instead of walls written with “O Stree Kal Aana ” or (O Stree, come tomorrow), they are engraved with “O Stree Raksha Karna ” or (O Stree, protect us) hinting at another danger that awaits the town.
The central plot is with “sar kate ka aatank”, or terror of the headless man, showing that he could be the antagonist this time. Anyhow, the movie sounds promising, much gloomier, and, of course, packed with a little bit of fun.

4. Chandu Champion

Directed by Kabir Khan, Chandu Champion tells us the story of a man whose unwavering spirit made him close to winning a gold medal for India in the Olympics. Chandu Champion is a biographical drama based on the life of paralympic medalist Murlikant Petkar, who brought India’s first gold medal. Kartik Aaryan will take the lead role, and we will see him at the cinema on 4th June.
5. Tehran

Starring John Abraham alongside Manushi Chillar and claiming to be based on real-life events, Tehran has released no official trailer, while the film itself will be available in theatres on 26th April. You can try your luck and go to watch the movie.
6. Bhaiyya Ji

After we saw Manoj Bajpayee and Apoorv Singh Karki together in Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai, they are seen collaborating again in the upcoming movie Bhaiyya Ji. From the trailer, we can gather that the film is concentrated on one man – as it says, he is the law and the crime, the ruler and the ruler; he is the father of Robin Hood.
Called “Bhaiyya Ji”, an endearment term that Indians use for someone they respect and hold in authority– he is from Bihar, and apparently, someone has murdered his brother. Manoj Bajpayee is the perfect person for the character, and the trailer has enough evidence of this. What is left to see is how well the movie plays out and hooks the audience. It is scheduled to be released on 24th May.
7. Mr and Mrs. Mahi

We get to the heartwarming part of Bollywood with Janhvi Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao– Mr and Mrs. Mahi’s trailer has a lot going on. A tribute to Dhoni’s endearing nickname “Mahi,” the movie follows two couples, both named Mahi, as the husband tries to make the wife a cricketer to realise his dream, which he was never able to achieve. The trailer seems interesting, especially with a new concept. However, it has given away too much already.
The fights between the couple, the family tensions, and the eventual becoming of a cricketer– these are hinted at in the trailer. It would be worth seeing if that’s how the movie plays out. It will be released in cinemas on 31st May.
8. Chhota Bheem And The Curse of Damyaan

Do you know that our favourite childhood characters from Dholakpur are making their debut on the big screen? Yes, it is true– Chhota Bheem and his gang are coming in a new movie that will be released on 24th May. Although not an animated movie, the budding artists in the film seem to be promising good entertainment as they fight against evil and protect Dholakpur.
9. Srikanth

This year is Rajkummar Rao’s, and we are here for it. Released on 10th May, Srikanth has already gathered praise from critics and audiences alike. The movie is based on the life of Srikanth Bolla, a visually impaired businessman who never gives up on creating a place in this world, which leads to him becoming a founder of Bollant Industries. Although the movie is only streaming in cinemas, we added it because, as the movie tagline rightly said, Srikanth is coming to open everyone’s eyes, and we thought you guys had to know!
Conclusion–
So these were some of the celebrated releases of the year. While we are excited for too many of them, as we get to see Shraddha Kapoor again in Stree, Chhota Bheem on screen, Deepika Padukone in Singham, and many more such exciting things– which movie are you most excited for?
