Futuristic SUV-Coupe with Four Powertrains

Tata is always making news in the automotive market. Again it has, by confirming the launch of its upcoming car “Tata Curvv”, all set to be launched on August 7. Brand new Curvv is a Mid-sized SUV and an SUV-coupe, featuring four powertrain options: diesel, petrol, electric, and CNG. Tata’s four powertrain option strategy aims to diversify customer choices and challenge competitor brands. Curvv’s exterior is super sleek and futuristic, helping it stand out. Let’s talk about it.
Tata Curvv: Exterior and Interior Design

Tata curvv’s design is heavily inspired by the previous SUV model Nexon, but with unique distinction. It gives off a futuristic aura. In other words, it’s like a Nexon from 2050. Unlike Nexon, it features a sloping roofline which gives a coupe-like appearance. The Curvv also features Tata’s all-new split-LED headlamp setup and ample gloss-black cladding on the sides. Moreover, a split tail-lamp setup at the rear gives it that sporty appearance.
Inside, the Curvv adopts elements from the harrier and Safari. It features a four-spoke steering wheel and dual 10.25-inch screens for the instrument cluster and digital dials. We can also highly expect a wireless charger, ventilated seats, and a panoramic sunroof from the Curvv.
Tata Curvv: Powertrain Options
The Tata Curvv will be launched as an EV version first. It will feature Tata’s Gen 2 EV technology, which is anticipated to offer a range between 450-500 km with a full charge. The rest of the specifications of the EV version are yet to be confirmed by Tata.
On the other hand, The ICE version of the Curvv is expected to launch later. The petrol segment will feature a 1.2-liter turbo engine with three cylinders, that will produce a horsepower of 125hp. Diesel engines are more likely to be synonymous with Nexon’s 1.5-liter, four-cylinder unit. Same for the CNG segment.

Tata Curvv: Expected Price
The EV version of the Curvv is expected to launch at a price tag of Rs 20 lakh, closely competing with cars like the Hyundai Creta EV and the MG ZS EV. On the other hand, the ICE version will likely be launched between Rs 10 to 11 lakh, which will give great competition to cars like the Kia Seltos and Hyundai Creta.
What is Expected from the Curvv?
Both the consumers and the industry experts are eager to see how the new Curvv will perform in a competitive market like India. Possessing a unique futuristic design with advanced features, and having the tag of ‘Tata”, the Curvv is expected to attract a wide audience, including EV heads to SUV maniacs.
