A variety of Tata EVs such as the Punch, Nexon, Tigor, and Tiago have waiting periods of up to 3 months in cities like New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, and Thane. The average waiting time for the Tiago EV, which has a starting price of Rs 7.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), is two months in July. However, in Hyderabad, customers can get the delivery of the hatchback in one month. Although the electric Tigor (Rs 12.49 lakh, starting, ex-showroom Delhi), also has an average waiting period of two months, customers residing in Chennai, Thane, and Delhi will have to wait 2.5 months to receive the car. In comparison, people in Hyderabad can get their SUV in just a month. Notably, the starting price of the Punch is Rs 10.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). In June 2024, the Tata Punch/EV was the best-selling car and SUV. It recorded sales of 18,238 units, marking a YoY growth of 65.95%.  For the Nexon EV (Rs 14.49 lakh, starting, ex-showroom), the average waiting period is up to 2–2.5 months in certain regions including Bengaluru and Chennai. However, buyers in Delhi may have to wait as long as three months. In contrast, cities such as Kolkata, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Coimbatore, Patna, and Indore have a reduced waiting period of just one month.
