Hyundai Alcazar facelift interior to get new colour tones and more features on offerHyundai has revealed the interior and key features of its upcoming Alcazar facelift, offering a first look at the SUV’s revamped cabin ahead of its official launch on 9th September. This update brings notable changes to the interior design, aiming to enhance both comfort and functionality for passengers.Interior Overhaul: New Dual-Tone Theme and Enhanced SpaceThe facelifted Alcazar adopts a dual-tone interior scheme, blending Noble Brown and Haze Navy. This colour combination gives the cabin a distinct appearance, setting it apart from the design of its sibling, the Hyundai Creta. The dashboard has been refreshed, incorporating the new-look layout from the Creta, featuring a 10.25-inch fully digital instrument cluster and a 10.25-inch infotainment screen positioned side by side. One of the major updates is the reconfiguration of the second row. The fixed centre console that previously separated the captain’s chairs has been removed, creating more space and allowing for easier access to the third row. This change comes in response to customer feedback, as buyers had expressed a desire for more accessible third-row seating. The captain’s seats now feature larger headrests with foldable extensions and they are finished in the same dual-tone scheme as the dashboard.Hyundai has also enhanced the comfort of the seats, with improved cushioning and better contouring. The six-seat configuration of the Alcazar facelift includes cooled seats for all four individual seats, while the seven-seat version offers this feature exclusively for the front seats. Additionally, the wireless and USB charging pad for the second row has been relocated to the back of the front row’s armrest.Advanced Features and Technology UpgradesThe Alcazar facelift introduces several new features aimed at improving the overall driving experience. The front seats are now electrically adjustable, with a memory function for the driver’s seat. The centre console features brushed aluminium trim and includes controls for drive modes and an electronic parking brake. Higher variants of the facelifted model come with automatic climate control as standard. The SUV is expected to offer ADAS similar to that found in the Creta, including a 360-degree camera and blind spot assist. Other carryover features from the current model include LED lights and a panoramic sunroof.Exterior Design and Powertrain OptionsWhile the focus has been on the interior, the Alcazar facelift also receives updates to its exterior design. The front and rear of the SUV have been refreshed and new alloy wheel designs have been introduced.Under the hood, the Alcazar continues with the same powertrain options as the previous model. Customers can choose between a 160 HP, 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and a 115 HP, 1.5-litre diesel engine, available with a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic. The SUV also retains its multiple traction control modes, with presets for snow, sand and mud.Launch and AvailabilityHyundai is set to announce the prices for the Alcazar facelift on 9th September, with deliveries expected to begin by mid-September. The company has already started accepting bookings from 22nd August, 2024 with a booking amount of Rs. 25,000.
