Mahindra Unveils Front Profile of Thar ROXX Ahead of August 15 Debut

Mahindra has officially unveiled the front fascia of its upcoming Thar ROXX, offering a glimpse into the rugged off-roader set to launch on August 15th. The new model, positioned below the Scorpio N, will compete in the compact SUV segment with a distinctive SUV character.

A New Face for Mahindra

The revealed front fascia of the Thar ROXX features a revamped grille with a distinctive 6-slat design, now split into two halves, giving it a sharper and more aggressive look compared to the smaller Thar. The grille is complemented by round LED DRLs surrounding the LED headlamp cluster, while the robust bumper sports a dual-tone silver and black color scheme. The fog lamps, positioned at the edges of the bumper, are designed to enhance visibility in low-light conditions, while the upright bonnet and prominent wheel arches with integrated LED turn indicators emphasize its commanding road presence. The ORVMs are equipped with a 360-degree camera, further enhancing its advanced features.

At the rear, the Thar ROXX will come with new LED tail lamps and an updated bumper design. Mahindra will offer a panoramic sunroof on the top variants, with a single-pane sunroof available on mid-level trims, adding a touch of luxury to this rugged SUV.

Dimensions and Interior

With an estimated length of 4.3 meters, the Thar ROXX will offer a spacious interior compared to its predecessor. The extended wheelbase promises improved legroom for rear passengers and a larger boot. Mahindra will offer both panoramic and single-pane sunroof options to enhance the cabin experience.

Powerful Performance

Under the hood, the Thar ROXX will offer a choice of two engines. The 2.2-litre diesel engine will deliver 150 HP and 350 Nm of torque for the entry-level model, with higher variants offering 172 HP and 370 Nm. Additionally, a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine will be available, producing 160 HP and 330 Nm for the base model and 175 HP and 380 Nm for the higher variants. Transmission options will include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic, catering to a range of driving preferences.

As Mahindra prepares to introduce the Thar ROXX, the newly revealed front profile hints at the bold design and robust capabilities that are sure to make it a strong contender in the compact SUV segment.
