MG Cloud EV to be Launched Soon in India

MG Motor India has teased the upcoming Cloud EV in their latest teaser video. Updated spy photos of the future MG Cloud EV’s cabin have appeared online, filling in some gaps left by the previous pictures, which were all taken in India. In the lead-up to this year’s holiday pricing surprise, MG Motor India has unveiled a new Cloud teaser.
It boasts a very unconventional design and promises a blend of sedan-like comfort and SUV-like space. MG have registered the name “Excelor EV” as a trademark, so that could be a possible name for the new EV in the Indian market. We expect the name to be ‘Cloud EV’.
From The Spy Shots:

Interiors
A few information can be found on the model’s dashboard, even though most of it is hidden. The Cloud EV for India will likely have

An 8.8-inch fully digital instrument cluster and big, floating 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system as the one present in cars sold in Indonesia under the Wuling brand.
Two-spoke steering wheel with audio control and cruise control buttons
Horizontal slats that run the length of the simple dashboard and cover all four AC vents

Exterior
Key exterior features hinted in the teaser:

Connected LED DRLs in the front
Headlights on each side of DRLs similar to the international Wulling spec car’s design
MG logo set below the DRLs which is illuminated
A stylish set alloy wheel design
A panoramic sunroof (We expect it to be a non-openable one)

Some Features We Expect

6 airbags
ABS, EBD with Electronic Stability Control
A tyre pressure monitoring system
Electronic parking brake
A 360-degree camera
ADAS features such as adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, and autonomous emergency braking, enhancing both safety and convenience for drivers.

CUV Design Language
The Cloud EV crossover looks a bit like a mix between an MPV and a hatchback, as seen in earlier spy photos of it in testing. However, MG Motor India calls it a CUV, which stands for “crossover utility vehicle.” Just like the inside, the outside has a simple look, with clean lines, flush door handles, and full-width LED light bars on both the front and back. The Cloud has a big glasshouse and long quarter glass sections, but the windscreens in the front and back are very steeply curved.
Battery Powertrain on MG Cloud EV
37.9kWh Battery with 134hp
Range: 360km
50.6kWh Battery with 134hp
Range: 460km.
Expected Price
We expect the price for the new EV from MG to be between Rs 23 Lakhs and 30 Lakhs.
