MotoGP: KTM Confirms Pol Espargaro for San Marino GP Wildcard

Pol Espargaro will make his third wildcard appearance of the 2025 MotoGP season, focusing on gathering data to help develop the KTM RC16.

Pol Espargaro will make his third MotoGP wild card appearance of the season at the San Marino Grand Prix in Misano. He aims to build on his past experience at Misano, where he previously secured podium finishes with both KTM and Repsol Honda. Following Dani Pedrosa’s close call with a podium at Misano last year, Espargaro hopes to make a strong impact. His recent wild card races at Mugello and Austria have sharpened his skills on the RC16. As a former full-time rider who stepped back for Pedro Acosta, Espargaro’s return promises an exciting show for fans. Pol Espargaro: “Mugello meant we could come back to MotoGP speed and then we felt much more competitive at Red Bull Ring where we had made a lot of testing laps. Misano is another familiar circuit and I’m happy to get back onto the grid after the work we made at Austria. We need to reconfirm some data in race conditions and also do what we can to help the guys – Brad and Jack – with their settings for the two GPs we have there.” Also Read: MotoGP: Gresini Racing Signs Fermin Aldeguer as Marc Marquez’s Replacement for 2025 MotoGP: Pol Espargaro and KTM Pol Espargaro has a strong history with KTM.
