National Awards 2024 | Baradwaj Rangan

This is a ridiculous awards show this year. Every choice either reeks of idiocy or blind ideology, 2022 was such a strong year for Telugu films with Masooda, Sita Ramam, Ante Sundaraniki, Oke Oka Jeevitham, Virata Parvam or even Major but no competitive award for any of them! Even Telugu film buffs are bashing the choice of Karthikeya 2, which is clearly politically motivated.
I haven’t even got to the choice of Sooraj Barjatya as best director for Oonchai which has some laughably clumsy sequences or Neena Gupta as Supporting Actress when even Sarika had a better role in the same film. Sai Pallavi had Gargi and Virata Parvam the same year, and is robbed. How does Brahmastra win best Music with Laal Singh Chaddha in the competition?
