New TVS Electric Two-wheeler to Launch in India in FY2025

TVS Motor Company, one of the largest electric two-wheeler brands in India, has revealed its plans to launch a new electric two-wheeler here. At the recently held investors’ call, the EV brand confirmed that the two-wheeler in question will be launched by March 2025. Nothing is known yet about the upcoming electric vehicle, but it will be positioned in the new segment. TVS currently retails the iQube electric scooter in India. The scooter offers three battery options – 2.2kWh, 3.4kWh and 5.1kWh – and is priced from Rs 94,999 to Rs 1.85 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The other electric scooter, the X, is yet to be rolled out. Launched at Rs 2.50 lakh (ex-showroom, Bengaluru), the TVS X premium electric product uses a 4.44kWh battery, resulting in a claimed range of 140km. The top speed is marked at 105km/h. In the April–September period, the company already delivered 1.27 lakh units of electric scooters to its customers, whereas over 96,000 units went to home buyers during the same period last fiscal. This is thanks to surging demand for electric vehicles.  TVS Raider iGo Gets a Boost Mode In other news, TVS launched a new variant of the Raider 125 to mark the 10 lakh-unit sales milestone in India. Named the iGo, the variant gets iGo assist technology, giving you an additional 0.55Nm of torque. The Raider iGo slots below the Super Squad Edition and is priced at Rs 98,389 (ex-showroom).  The TVS Raider iGO uses the same 124.8cc single-cylinder air/oil-cooled engine that is mated to a five-speed gearbox. While the power number remains the same as before – 11.2bhp at 7,500rpm, the torque output stands at 11.75Nm at 6,000rpm. The bike has a 5-step preload-adjustable rear monoshock, a front disc brake, and 17-inch alloy wheels.  Also Read: TVS Radeon Base Edition Gets All-Black Colour Option; Range Now Starts at Rs 59,880 In the segment, the Raider 125 goes against the Honda Shine, Hero Xtreme 125R, and the Bajaj Pulsar N125.
