After Pandya Store witnessed a seven-year leap, in a matter of a few weeks, the channel Star Plus decided to pull the plug on one of the most popular television serials. Rohit Chandel, who headlined the show as the male lead Dhawal Makwana along with Priyanshi Yadav as the female lead Natasha Makwana, opened up about what he is looking forward to after the show aired its last episode on Sunday. While in a heartfelt social media, Rohit did express his disappointment over the show ending, he has asserted that in future too, he will be choosy about his projects.

In an exclusive interview with Filmibeat, Rohit Chandel confessed that he will be looking into the details of a show like the channel etc., before he signs on his next project. “Obviously, I’ll do more and more projects. I’m choosy about the channel these days. There are so many things… as soon as the Pandya Store came out, so many calls were there. But, I’m very choosy about the channel, the project, and the storyline. So, let’s see,” he said.
Just a day ago, on May 25, Rohit took to social media to share a heartfelt note as he bid adieu to the show, wherein he said, “Signing off as Dhawal Makwana ! What a journey, the journey we climbed together, ran together, hit the milestone together and finally putting the full stop together. I might stop playing Dhawal Makwana, but DM is not gonna leave my skin because you guys made believe that character is not just to play not just to entertain. But it does Inspire and motivate thousands of hearts out there. Thank you so much for making this character bigger and bigger everyday which inspired me to fly the heights with DM’s wing but its time for a safe landing! It’s time to say goodbye, but I think goodbyes are sad and I’d much rather say hello. Hello to a new adventure…” He also added the song ‘Main Pal Do Pal’ from the film Kabhi Kabhie, and shared a few lines from the Javed Akhtar song as a part of the caption on the post.

Speaking of Pandya Store, the show, which completed over 1000 episodes, garnered massive TRPs despite the generational leap which happened after over 600 episodes. With Rohit Chandel and Priyanshi Yadav taking over the reins from an ensemble cast from the first season, the show continued to witness the same response until a recent generational leap of seven years. Followed by the lowering TRPs after the recent twist, the show went off air on Sunday, May 26.
