SEBI Recommendations on Derivatives Trading

The very high engagement of retail traders in the derivatives segment is a cause of concern for the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI). Retail investors contribute 35% of the derivatives trading in India. 78% of the traders traded with capital of less than 1 million Rupees.
To safeguard the interests of small or retail traders, the expert working committee of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has given certain recommendations. Please note that these are only recommendations and not the final set of rules. In this video, i have discussed
(a) What are these recommendations submitted to SEBI?(b) What will be the impact of these recommendations on various stakeholders i.e. exchange, brokers, and retail traders?(c) Whether these recommendations will be good for market participants.
