During the IIFA 2024 press conference in Mumbai, which was graced by Abhishek Banerjee, Karan Johar, Siddhant Chaturvedi, and Rana Daggubati, Shah Rukh Khan took a moment to commend Abhishek’s performance in the film. SRK said, “Abhishek, it is so wonderful to see you live, after seeing your wonderful film (Stree 2). I have been wanting to call you.” Later, King Khan gave a warm hug to Banerjee on stage. Abhishek Banerjee plays the character of Jana in Stree 2, the only character who gets possessed by the ghost in the first installment.
