The long wait for the Tata Curvv EV will soon come to an end with its price announcement on August 7, 2024. As the product moves closer to its market arrival, interesting details have been emerging on the web. According to a recent media report, the Curvv electric coupe SUV will be offered with two battery packs – a 40.5kWh pack for the lower variants and a 55kWh pack for the higher variants. While the former is expected to deliver a range of around 465 km, the latter will promise a range of over 550 km. The larger battery pack will be exclusively offered with the higher trims. The Curvv’s ICE (internal combustion engine) version is slated to launch a month after its electric iteration. This means we can expect it to reach showrooms in the early weeks of September 2024. The Tata Curvv ICE will be made available with two petrol engines (118bhp/170Nm, 1.2L turbo and 123bhp/225Nm, 1.2L GDi) and a diesel engine (113bhp/260Nm, 1.5L). A 6-speed manual gearbox will be standard across the model lineup, with select variants offered with a 7-speed DCA automatic transmission. The Curvv will offer three drive modes: Eco, City, and Sport.
The Tata Curvv EV will come with advanced features, including a Level 2 ADAS suite, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, and a 360-degree camera. The coupe SUV will also offer a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Tata iRA connected car tech with over 55 features, front and rear 45W Type-C charging ports, six-way adjustable front seats with ventilation, a digital instrument cluster, a two-step rear seat recline function, and wireless phone charging.
On the safety front, the Curvv EV is expected to have six airbags, an electronic stability program, an electronic parking brake with auto hold function, a driver drowsiness alert system, and front and rear disc brakes.
