Tata Curvv EV Interior Revealed: Level 2 ADAS Confirmed

Tata Motors has offered a sneak peek into the interior of its upcoming electric coupe-SUV, the Curvv EV, through a new promotional video. While the design borrows heavily from the Nexon EV, several distinctive elements set it apart.

Interior Design and Features

The Curvv EV’s dashboard closely resembles its sibling, featuring a large free-standing touchscreen infotainment system, likely measuring 12.3 inches, which takes center stage. Below this, a touch-based climate control panel offers a modern and minimalist aesthetic.

The steering wheel is a departure from the Nexon’s two-spoke design. Inspired by the Harrier and Safari, the four-spoke unit exudes a premium feel and houses controls for both infotainment and ADAS functions. A 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster complements the driver-focused cockpit.

Ambient lighting that gracefully spans the dashboard adds a touch of sophistication, while silver textured trim differentiates the Curvv EV from its more affordable sibling.

Advanced Technology on Board

The Curvv EV is poised to set new benchmarks in its segment with the inclusion of Level 2 ADAS. This suite of advanced driver assistance systems is expected to encompass features such as adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, automatic emergency braking, and more. The dedicated steering wheel controls for ADAS further underscore Tata’s focus on safety and convenience.

Exterior Updates

While the Curvv EV retains the core design language of the 2022 concept, it incorporates refinements to align with the Nexon EV’s styling. Notable changes include a split headlight setup, a prominent LED light bar, and a redesigned front air intake. The vehicle’s profile and rear end have also undergone subtle modifications.

Promotional Video and Competition

The promotional video showcases the Curvv EV’s capabilities by taking it on a challenging journey up the Sandakphu mountain peak, emphasizing its potential for both on-road and off-road adventures.

Expected to be priced around Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom), the Curvv EV will compete with rivals like the MG ZS EV, lower variants of the BYD Atto 3, and the upcoming Hyundai Creta EV. It will also position itself as an electric alternative to popular compact SUVs such as the Kia Seltos, Hyundai Creta, and Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara.
