Tata Curvv Spotted Testing in India Ahead of Imminent Launch

Tata Motors has confirmed that its new Curvv SUV coupe will go on sale in India on August 7, 2024. It will be available in both electric and ICE variants. The price of the EV will be announced first, followed by the ICE sometime later, although there is no confirmation. But, before these much-awaited launches, the ICE-powered Curvv has been spotted in its final testing stage, featuring the same 5-spoke flower-patterned alloy wheels as the concept shown at the Auto Expo last year. While it is too early to speculate, these wheels could be 17 inches on the top-spec versions and 16 inches on the lower-spec ones. Aside from this, the SUV coupe has flush-fitting door handles, a first for any Tata car. It will also include a broader grille, a sloping roofline, split LED headlights, elongated roof spoiler, squared-off wheel arches, and linked LED DRLs and taillights. For safety, the SUV coupe could get six airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), a 360-degree camera, three-point seatbelts for all, a tyre pressure monitoring system, front and rear parking sensors, and ADAS, with features like autonomous braking and lane keep assist. Tata Curvv: Powertrain The ICE Tata Curvv is expected to offer the same engine options as the Nexon, which includes a 1.2-litre 3-cylinder turbo-petrol engine with 118bhp and 170Nm and a 1.5-litre 4-cylinder diesel engine with 113bhp and 260Nm. A 6-speed AMT, a 6-speed manual, or a 7-speed DCT will probably be the available gearbox options.
