Upcoming 8 Electric Cars Worth The Wait

Here we have explained about the 8 upcoming electric cars that are worth the wait from manufacturers like Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Tata, Mahindra and Kia
The electric SUV segment will witness the arrival of several new models over the next 12 to 18 months as top carmakers such as Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Tata, Mahindra and Kia will enter the burgeoning space. Here we have brought you a rundown of all the upcoming offerings:
1. Tata Curvv EV

The electric Curvv will go on sale on August 7 and it will likely boast a claimed range of over 600 km on a full charge. The first midsize electric SUV coupe will be packed with features such as a 12.3-inch touchscreen display, a digital cluster, a panoramic sunroof, a powered tailgate with gesture function, ventilated front seats, etc.
2. Mahindra XUV 3XO EV

Before the end of this year, Mahindra is expected to launch the XUV 3XO EV and it will be positioned below the XUV 400 to compete with Tata Punch EV. It will have several commonalities with the XUV 400 including the battery pack but expect it to offer a lesser range of around 350-400 km.
3&4. Maruti Suzuki eVX & Its Toyota Sibling

The eVX will be introduced in early or mid-2025 and just as the concept, it could be equipped with a 60 kWh battery pack capable of a range of over 550 km. It will spawn a Toyota sibling in H2 2025 and both will sit on the derivative of Toyota’s 27 PL platform.
5. Hyundai Creta EV

Spotted testing multiple times, the Hyundai Creta EV will enter showrooms early next year and it will likely feature an electric motor from the now-discontinued base-spec Kona Electric. The ICE Creta will heavily influence it and expect the range to be well over 450 km.
6. Mahindra XUV.e8

While the tentative launch timeline is December 2024, we predict that the XUV.e8 will go on sale in H1 2025. Based on the XUV 700 ICE, it will almost replicate the concept in terms of design and the interior will come with a 12.3-inch touchscreen, digital instrument console, Level 2 ADAS, etc.
7. Tata Harrier EV

Confirmed to launch in the first quarter of CY 2025, the Tata Harrier EV was previewed via a near-production concept at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo earlier this year. It will be sold with single and dual electric motor configurations and the range could be over 600 km.
8. Kia EV9

The flagship electric SUV from Kia will arrive in the coming months and is claimed to offer 541 km range in the WLTP cycle. It will be packed with high-end technologies and features as well.
