Vivek Oberoi Talks About Choosing Casual Relationships, Says He Lost Childhood Sweetheart To Cancer
Actor Vivek Oberoi recently opened up about his personal life, revealing that he has had only a few serious relationships. He shared that the d*ath of his childhood sweetheart to cancer deeply affected him, making him hesitant to commit to serious relationships for a long time afterward. When he was younger, he was upfront with his romantic partners about not looking for anything long-term due to his emotional state at the time.
Vivek is now happily married to Priyanka Alva and the couple shares a strong bond. Vivek mentioned that Priyanka doesn’t ask many questions about his past relationships, which has helped him move forward in life.
During the interview, Vivek Oberoi opened up on his early relationships and why he was not ready to commit to serious relationship. He said, “I’ve had very few serious girlfriends. I was very clear when I was in college. I was studying, I had already started business, I was investing in the stock market. I didn’t have time. I was very clear that I wasn’t interested in a serious, committed relationship. This was also because my childhood sweetheart d*ed of cancer.”
He further added, “I didn’t want to go through more heartbreak, and I decided that only casual relationships work for me. I don’t count many of those as ‘girlfriends’. But when I’ve loved, I’ve loved with all my heart. I’ve always been honest, I’ve never cheated on anyone. I’ve been transparent and true.”
