Sony LIV introduces Arif Zakaria and Ira Dubey, who will convey to existence the pivotal figures of Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Fatima Jinnah (His sister) in the forthcoming series “Freedom at Midnight”. This political thriller drama delves into the functions surrounding India’s independence and its partition by way of the lens of influential historical personalities.

Arif Zakaria’s depiction is set to showcase the numerous facets of Jinnah and his journey. Likewise, Ira Dubey’s portrayal of Fatima Jinnah who performed a considerable role in supporting and influencing his journey.

Expressing his exhilaration about playing a towering temperament like Muhammad Ali Jinnah in the collection, actor Arif Zakaria stated, “In making ready to portray Muhammad Ali Jinnah, I understood how vital it was to depict him as a flawed and difficult human currently being instead than an untouchable hero. I intend to add proportions to Jinnah’s persona by delving into the depths of his psyche, bringing forth his complexity and revealing the motivations that motivated his acts. I hope to give a much more authentic and complete image of Jinnah by adopting this process.”

Expressing her enjoyment about portraying a persona like Fatima Jinnah in the sequence, actress Ira Dubey says, “Freedom at Midnight marks my 2nd collaboration with Sony LIV immediately after Potluck. My position in this sequence is unlike any other I have performed in the past, bringing me a exceptional yet complicated possibility as an actor. Fatima’s bond with her brother, Jinnah, and her influence on him is a lesser-regarded component. She played a major job in his life, standing by him from the commence right up until the end, and the collection will drop light on this dynamic romance.”

“When casting for the roles of Jinnah and Fatima in the series, I was instantly drawn to Arif Zakaria for his hanging physical presence – gaunt, towering, with piercing eyes and a commanding voice that exuded authenticity. His baritone and clipped British accent embodied the essence of Jinnah. In a similar vein, I selected Ira Dubey for her potential to embody the grace and power of Fatima. The two actors very easily brought these characters to lifestyle, capturing the essence of their personalities and historic significance. Doing work with Arif and Ira was a testomony to their expertise and dedication, solidifying my belief that they had been the best options for these roles.” Mentioned Nikkhil Advani, who is the showrunner and director of Freedom at Midnight.

Freedom at Midnight is Developed by Emmay Leisure (Monisha Advani and Madhu Bhojwani) in association with StudioNext and Sony LIV, Nikkhil Advani serves as the Showrunner and Director.
