Bookings for the newly-launched Mahindra XUV 3XO subcompact SUV have commenced nationwide. Buyers can pre-book the model by paying Rs 21,000 online or at any authorized Mahindra dealership. Deliveries are slated to begin on 26th May 2024. The new XUV 3XO, essentially a heavily updated XUV300, is offered in a total of 18 variants with 6 engine and gearbox combinations. The 111 bhp petrol-manual and automatic variants are priced between Rs 7.49 lakh and Rs 10.69 lakh, and Rs 9.99 lakh and Rs 12.19 lakh, respectively.
The model lineup includes six 131 bhp petrol variants: AX5 L MT, AX5 L AT, AX7 MT, AX7 AT, AX7 L MT, and AX7 L AT, priced at Rs 11.99 lakh, Rs 12.49 lakh, Rs 13.49 lakh, Rs 13.99 lakh, Rs 13.99 lakh, and Rs 15.49 lakh, respectively. The diesel manual and automatic variants are available within the price range of Rs 9.99 lakh to Rs 14.99 lakh. All mentioned prices are ex-showroom.
Mahindra XUV 3XO Review
With such aggressive pricing, the new Mahindra XUV 3XO undercuts most of its rivals, including the Tata Nexon. Interestingly, Tata Motors recently introduced new entry-level Smart+ variants of the Nexon, priced at Rs 8 lakh (petrol-MT), Rs 10 lakh (diesel-MT), and Smart+ S with diesel-manual combo at Rs 10.60 lakh.
To gain an edge over its rivals, Mahindra has equipped the new XUV 3XO with several first-in-segment features, such as a Level 2 ADAS suite, the largest panoramic sunroof in the segment, a 65W Type-C charging port, dual-zone climate control, an electronic parking brake with auto hold function, all four disc brakes as standard, and 17-inch alloy wheels.
Talking about the engines, the Mahindra XUV 3XO comes with two 1.2L turbo-petrol and a diesel option. The 1.2-litre petrol engine has been tuned for two different outputs: 109 bhp with 200 Nm and 129 bhp with 230 Nm. The diesel unit generates 115 bhp and 300 Nm. The subcompact SUV offers three gearbox options: a 6-speed manual, a 6-speed AMT, and a 6-speed torque converter automatic.
