2 min read

The deliveries of Matter Aera EV have once again been delayed in India owing to some updates. The EV comes in two variants: 5000 and 5000+, priced at Rs 1.74 lakh and Rs 1.84 lakh, respectively (both ex-showroom).

Electric two-wheeler startup Matter has postponed deliveries of its first motorcycle, the Aera, in India. The shipment will now begin around the festive period, instead of the first quarter of 2024 as initially planned. It will start from Ahmedabad and progress in stages. Matter asserts that multiple upgrades made to the motorcycle have contributed to the delay in delivery. These include a revised 4-speed transmission for easier shifts and more efficient regenerative braking and an upgraded cooling system for increased thermal efficiency. The Matter Aera EV comes in two variants: 5000 and 5000+, priced at Rs 1.74 lakh and Rs 1.84 lakh, respectively (both ex-showroom). It is an in-house developed and designed electric motorcycle that gets a four-speed sequential manual transmission (first in its class). It has a range of around 125 kilometres on a single charge and a 0 to 60km/h acceleration time of 6 seconds.
