TVS Apache RTR 160 2V Racing Edition has been introduced at Rs 1.28,720 (ex-showroom, Delhi). At this price point, it becomes the top-end variant of the motorcycle. Painted in an exclusive Matte Black colour scheme, the bike has red and grey stripes with carbon-fibre inspired graphics and red alloy wheels. The new Apache RTR 160 Racing Edition uses the same 159.7cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine with a 5-speed gearbox. The motor delivers a claimed power of 13.32PS at 8,000rpm and 12.7Nm of torque at 6,500rpm in Urban and Rain modes. In Sport mode, it offers power worth 16.04PS at 8,750rpm and 13,85Nm at 7,000rpm.

Similar to the regular model, the TVS Apache RTR Racing Edition is capable to do 0 to 60kmph in 5.3 seconds. When it comes to mileage, the bike promises 45.06kmpl and 46.99kmp in the city and on the highways, respectively. The special Racing Edition comes with the disc variant. The lower variants have 130mm rear drum brake and 110-section rear tyres. The higher trim comes with the 17-inch alloy wheels along with 90-section front and 120-section rear tyres. Suspension duties are performed by the conventional telescopic fork and gas charged twin rear shock absorbers.

The TVS Apache RTR Racing Edition offers all those features available on the regular model including LED headlight, LED DRLs, new LED taillamp and full LCD instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation. The instrument cluster displays trip meters, fuel gauge, speedometer, gear indicator, clock, tachometer, etc. The bike has a ground clearance of 180mm and a 790mm of seat height. It comes with a fuel tank capacity of 12-litres. While the disc variant carries a kerb weight of 138kg, the drum variants weigh 137kg.
